Donations to Caritas
Caritas
Lebanon is a member of Caritas’ International's Confederation, one
of the world’s largest humanitarian networks. Caritas helps people
in need to restore their human dignity, regardless of their
political, religious or social beliefs. Based
on the current crisis in Lebanon, Caritas currently needs
an immediate $200.000 to help those displaced families that are
seeking shelter in schools and public buildings and to respond to
basic needs such as medicine, bedding, food and baby milk in
particular for about 1000 people. Caritas estimates the costs
per person per month for the displaced families to be $200.

Christian Relief Initiative for Lebanon An "Actions by Churches Together (ACT) International" preliminary appeal comprising the ACT/Middle East Council of Churches (MECC) proposal was issued to respond to the Lebanon emergency. The goal is to provide food and non food aid and develop health, psychosocial and immediate economic recovery activities to Lebanon. MECC will also develop water and sanitation activities in cooperation with the Norwegian Church Aid (NCA). ACT/International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) will provide non food assistance and develop immediate economic recovery activities and reconstruction of schools and water systems in Lebanon.
